In October 2025, the Khalili Foundation’s Wikimedian In Residence, Dr Martin Poulter, spoke at the GLAM-Wiki conference in Lisbon. The conference brought together staff from the world’s Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums, as well contributors to Wikipedia. The talk described the work to raise awareness of UNESCO’s Memory of the World International Register (a list of the world’s most important documentary heritage) by sharing information on Wikipedia and related sites. Thanks to the cooperation between Poulter and UNESCO, fully funded by the Khalili Foundation, we can now keep track of the dozens of new articles about the International Register being created by wiki volunteers.
